Exotec announces the appointment of Louis Esquerre-Pourtere as RD Director. In his new role, Louis Esquerre-Pourtere will be responsible for orchestrating the strong growth of his team while ensuring the continued innovation and performance of Exotec’s products.
A native of the Nord-Pas de Calais region, Louis Esquerre-Pourtere is a graduate of the 2010 department of the Ecole Centrale de Lille (IG2I – Lens). He then moved into the rail industry and spent 10 years at Bombardier, where he contributed to the design of the latest Parisian transilians and TER double-decker trains. Louis Esquerre-Pourtere joined Exotec in 2020 to take on new challenges.
At Exotec, Louis Esquerre-Pourtere initially held the position of Systems Team Manager. As the first manager of the company’s RD teams, he played a key role in bringing together teams capable of designing standard, robust products that were increasingly adapted to the logistical needs of the company’s customers.
As head of the RD team, his new role will be to ensure that Exotec’s new products meet customer needs, comply with market quality standards and are delivered on time. To achieve this, he will be supported by a team of 170 mechanical, electrical, electronic and software design engineers and project managers spread across several sites in France.
‘ It is with great pride and gratitude that I take up my new position. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such a talented team. I’m convinced that together we will succeed in continuing to develop the level of excellence that characterises our innovations. ”. says Louis Esquerre-Pourtere.
Exotec, which has already produced more than 7,000 of its iconic Skypod® robots, is continuing to grow, particularly internationally. The appointment of Louis Esquerre-Pourtere is in line with the company’s vision of structuring its growth and increasing its market share.
‘Louis Esquerre-Pourtere’s appointment comes at a key moment for Exotec,’ explains Renaud Heitz, CTO and co-founder of Exotec, who previously held this position. ‘ We’re planning to recruit more than 80 RD professionals in 2024 at our Lille and Lyon sites. Louis’ main tasks will be to coordinate this strong growth across several sites, while maintaining and improving performance standards and continuing to innovate. We’re convinced that he has what it takes to succeed in these exciting challenges! ».
