For Romain Moulin, there are 5 key success factors in his robotic adventure. He shares them with us here:
1. Know your industry. It’s important to understand your customers’ challenges and needs. You need to take the time to explore each sector before taking the first step.
2. Link your product to the market. Before launching your product on the robotics market, you need to establish the link between your product and the customer to see where it fits.
3. Sell before you design. As soon as your product is ready, it’s important to get it to market as quickly as possible. This will allow you to gather valuable feedback. You won’t be able to update the hardware afterwards, as you would with software. Getting feedback is worth the risk.
4. Think in terms of products, not projects. Instead of developing products that cover many different needs, but meet only one specific need, you should concentrate on developing a handful of solutions that meet all your customers’ needs.
5. Surround yourself with the right people. A strong team makes for a strong product. At Exotec, we have an exceptional team of collaborators who, together, have taken Exotec’s flagship product, our Skypod autonomous robot, to new heights.
