At the end of 2023, Exotec® will deploy its Skypod solution at the Gallargues-Le-Montueux logistics site, which will automate all Bleu Libellule orders.

Croix, 12 April 2023 – Exotec, a global designer and supplier of robotic solutions for warehouses, has been chosen by CSP, the distribution arm of the Provalliance group, the French leader in the distribution of professional hairdressing and beauty products through the Bleu Libellule Nyx brands, the group’s hair salons and its wholesale partners.

This project, the first phase of which is scheduled for completion by the end of 2023, will evolve until 2028 to support the Group’s next stages of growth, in particular the expansion of the Bleu Libellule network.

Logistics to support Bleu Libellule’s progress.

With its eshop and over 240 shops in France, Italy and Luxembourg, Bleu Libellule makes professional hairdressing and beauty products accessible to everyone, professionals and private individuals alike.

Over the last 10 years, the concept has grown exponentially, with the brand opening more than 20 shops a year and posting double-digit growth.

This growth is set to intensify between now and 2028, with the doubling of its flows; the CSP group’s logistics site, which centralises order preparation for all its activities, will be the cornerstone of this.

The Group plans to gradually increase the number of parcels prepared per day from 5,000 to 6,000 by 2024, and 10,000 by 2028.

Exotec’s Skypod® system: a scalable solution tailored to Bleu Libellule’s needs.

To meet its ambitious objectives, CSP turned to Exotec, in particular for its Skypod system, which is scalable and quick to deploy, in line with the needs of its logistics site.

The current site, which is under strain due to the growth of the Bleu Libellule brand, will be equipped with Exotec’s flagship solution, the Skypod system, including ergonomic picking stations and conveyors. This installation will enable the site to increase productivity from 90 to 350 lines per hour per operator on 80% of flows. One of Exotec’s strengths is the speed with which the system can be installed: the first phase of the site will be delivered at the end of the year, enabling Bleu Libellule to cope with the peaks in orders during Black Friday and Christmas.

Looking beyond the figures, the automation of this warehouse will reduce the distance travelled by the 160 employees working on the site when preparing orders and improve the ergonomics of workstations (picking products at the right height, optimising movements with electronic trolleys, etc.). This new approach to logistics also reflects Bleu Libellule’s desire to develop the skills of its employees.

The Exotec installation is already scheduled to evolve in line with the group’s needs. The system will be upgraded every year until at least 2028, starting with the addition of a second picking station and a conveyor.
