Exotec boosts its industrial production capacity

November 23,2023

On 23 November 2023, Exotec®, a global supplier of robotic solutions to automate warehouses, celebrated the opening of a new production area in Croix, close to its head office, where Skypod® robots are designed. This space will be dedicated in particular to the production of the Skypath® range of conveyors, with around thirty modules produced there on average every day.

Located on rue du Creusot in Croix, this 2,500 m² facility marks a strategic step in the company’s rapid growth. The decision to bring the production of the Skypath range of conveyors in-house prompted this expansion, strengthening Exotec’s position in the market.

The new building will house the production workshops for the Skypath range, as well as the Service Centre dedicated to the maintenance of Skypod robots. Initially, around thirty employees will be helping to develop these activities.

After a thorough search, the optimum location was chosen in Croix, on the outskirts of Lille, for its well-equipped industrial building, including suitable access for lorries. Proximity to existing facilities proved crucial to fostering collaboration between teams, particularly with RD and support functions.

The inauguration of this new building, which we have named ‘L’imprimerie’ in reference to its past use, symbolises another step forward in Exotec’s growth strategy,’ explains Fabien Rouquette, Exotec’s Director of Industrial Activities. ‘This new space confirms our industrial expansion and allows us to anticipate the future, aligned with the ongoing development of our product roadmap.’
