Picking stations are perfect for smaller systems without a connecting conveyor system or with limited space. They can be used for order picking, replenishment, and stock checking. Each station includes a ramp, a screen, and various scanners that allow Skypod® robots to present bins and trays to operators for ergonomic picking of up to 400 lines per hour.
Picking stations improve working conditions by reducing the need for operators to walk several miles daily. Operators can remain in one place while Skypod® AMR robots transport items from the racks to the stations.
From the height of the bins and screens to the padded resting pads, every detail is designed to reduce strain and operator fatigue. To enhance preparation accuracy, you can add picking station accessories like Pick-to-Light, static scanners, or handset scanners.
Picking Stations with Order Movers
Picking stations with Order Movers are ideal for larger systems with conveyor systems. These stations incorporate our standard station to increase productivity and enable operators to prepare up to four orders simultaneously.
Order Movers are positioned beside the stations, with four locations for order preparation containers that cycle through as orders are prepared. Conveyors automatically introduce and remove preparation containers as operators work.
Operators prepare orders using an intelligent Put-to-Light system that guides them on where to place items. Once an order is complete, the operator presses a button to send the order to the next stage of the fulfilment process.
Bin Interface
The Bin Interface automates the entry and removal of bins and trays from the automated Skypod system, making it easy to replenish stock or buffer-prepared orders before they are shipped.
This station type ensures a steady flow of up to 320 bins or trays per hour and connects to an automated conveyor system that leads to the other phases of your fulfilment process.
