Skypod robots retrieve orders and deliver them to the Workstation, where operators pick and pack items. The one-to-one picking design ensures accuracy by having operators pick from one container and pack directly into the next, reducing errors. The system’s design and software support B2B and B2C order processing, while Deepsky® software prioritizes urgent orders, helping operators meet express delivery times.
Engineered to navigate under racks and climb side by side, our robots can access any item quickly and efficiently. The 3D navigation maximizes storage density and keeps all storage areas readily accessible, significantly improving the efficiency of your warehouse operations. Integrated Buffer
Prepare, store, or retrieve orders anytime, optimizing space by eliminating the need for separate conveyor lanes or staging areas. Integrated into the racks, the Integrated Buffer allows robots to efficiently transport any container to and from the racks at any stage of the fulfillment process. This system supports omnichannel warehouse operations by temporarily storing full cases, inventory, empty totes or boxes, and semi-finished or finished orders, all within the same system.
Strict Sequencing
Skypod robots move fulfillment containers from workstations or racks directly to exchangers, ensuring orders arrive in the right sequence at the right time. With strict sequencing, last-minute deliveries can be prioritized, bypassing other requests to meet urgent demands. Deepsky® software allows the WMS to define picking priorities and automatically sort containers to optimize outbound operations, delivery routes, and store replenishment.
Exotec Bins
Our storage bins are designed to accommodate various SKUs, maximizing storage density and efficiency. Made from recycled plastic, our bins come in three different heights—220 mm (8.6 in), 320 mm (12.6 in), and 420 mm (16.5 in)—to suit your specific needs. Each bin can be partitioned into compartments with removable dividers, allowing you to store commonly ordered items together.
Exotec Trays
The Skypod system’s versatility extends beyond Exotec bins. Using an Exotec tray, our robots can carry loads up to 30 kg (66 lbs). Trays accommodate various containers, including customer totes, cardboard boxes, and parcels without the need for specific equipment like tray joiners or loaders. This flexibility ensures that your warehouse can handle diverse storage needs, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
